What’s in a Name? (Poof…Bee Gone)

Thank you so much for stopping by!

My name is Sandra Joseph and I am the Queen ‘Bee’ in Poof…Bee Gone!

As I write, I just celebrated my thirty-eighth birthday. I ‘grew up’ in the 90’s and give that decade full credit for my excellent taste in music.

Under the influence of Queen Latifah, I adopted the nickname ‘Queen’ in middle school. Back then, I went by my mom’s last name, which starts with a ‘B’.

I must give credit to my neighborhood friend Stacey, who was the first person to call me ‘San’. Queensanb was born.

Just when you think you have me figured out, Lil’ Kim (I like to call her ‘tha original Queen Bee’) came on the scene. I went from one end of the palace to the other!

Her sassiness, lyricism, and sexiness made her my fave. This is why my close friends and family call me either San or Queen Bee.

My given name, Sandra, means the helper of mankind. Helping people has always come naturally to me.

This blogging platform is another vehicle I’m using to spread my travel knowledge and experiences.

As I began to travel more frequently, I was constantly hearing:

                   “Where are you now?”
                   “Are you in town?”
                   “Girl, you stay gone!”

They are absolutely right! I try to take at least three trips a year so that I can #poofbeegone! Keep reading so that you can too!

About Poof Bee Gone...High Tea
Poof Bee Gone…High Tea

What’s the tea, honey?

I haven’t been everywhere…yet! So you haven’t missed much.

I will recap all that I’ve learned thus far, so no worries there either. I have stories, tricks, tips, product recommendations and so much more!

Solo travel. Read that again! Those two words can invoke dread or excitement. My goal in creating this blog is for the excitement of course!

But don’t get me wrong. I’m not anti-social. I don’t hate groups or even people for that matter.

But I’ve been blessed to be able to enjoy alone time whether it be land, air or sea.

Money (or lack thereof), can also be a huge deterrent from traveling. For instance, solo travel can be more expensive in some cases because there isn’t anyone to share the load.

It’s doable nevertheless without having to go bankrupt! No price can be put on your memories either!

It’s not how much you have, but how you use what you have! Stay with me and I’ll show you how.

Check out my IG. I try to leave tips or ideas under the photos I upload so that you can have a visual to match.

My feet is my only carriage.

If you are a newbie to travel or solo travel in general, I can understand any hesitation you may have. I’ve been there.

I’ve heard every reason against it. I still recommend solo travel to every pleasure/growth-seeking adult.

Group trips are great but what happens when someone changes their mind. Or let’s say, you have conflicting interests and no one wants to come along.

If you base your travel goals on other people, you’ll never GO. I want to aspire you through my escapades.

Let me do all of the hard work and research. I will go before you so that when it’s your turn, it will be less stressful.

If you’re still having doubts, check out my first blog The Naked Traveler. I wrote it just for you!

Pros and any other travelers/curious folks are welcomed here too. We all can learn from one another!

Come along with me as I buzz through the magical treasures our world has to offer. Oh, taste and see, that it is good honey!

Cuz I’m the Queen Bee so you best take heed! Shall I proceed? Yes indeed!

I loved it! Your about me page was so fun and made me want more. I’ve subscribed to your blog and look forward to your new posts. I myself am one of the hesitant ones on traveling. I just get anxious. But I do love it. And I think solo travel is awesome! Like you said if theres something you wanna do, you can just do it instead of running it by someone else. How picky of an eater are you? Cause I’m pretty picky too haha
Also I lovee your picture of the high tea. Where you are all dressed up. You look amazing!

Jenn, thank you for the love, I really appreciate it! 😉 Solo travel is not for everyone but you should try and see how it goes. I always suggest to start small. But I think it’s one of the best ways to face our fears and get to know ourselves on a deeper level!

I’m “weirdly” picky. I like apple pies, but pick the apples out (don’t like baked fruit)! I don’t like peanut butter but love peanuts and the packaged peanut butter crackers! I love anything coconut except its water. The most unusual food I’ve eaten is charbroiled oysters. And the list goes on…

Love that you solo travel. Life is meant to be lived and waiting for other people can mean missing out. Limit regrets I say!
